The simplicity of the two stroke engine with its high power to weight ratio and relatively low production cost makes it a popular choice for many manufacturers.
Two strokes, however, are about to be outlawed in the western world because of high emissions and in particular, raw fuel emissions. At Brittain Consulting, we believe that the engine can be saved and have embarked on a crusade to this effect. We know that it can be done with expensive electronic injection systems operating with equally costly valve systems. However, the objective is to retain the original cost advantage and simplicity of the engine so that it can be retained as a viable power unit for the world’s industrial & transport applications.
