Confidentiality; this is vitally important and in particular, where any inventive step may lead to a patent being granted.
If information is leaked then the chances of receiving a patent may be seriously jeopardised. It is strongly recommended, therefore, that all parties sign a Confidentiality or Non-Disclosure Agreement prior to work commencing. This is for everyone’s protection and will be legally binding to protect both parties.
