These can take the form of either plug in devices with their own built in display such as used in garages or a series of sensors of varying sorts, the data from which can be simply collected on computer for analysis later. Provided a memory is incorporated somewhere, data can be collected.

We firmly believe that there is no such thing as too much data you don’t have to use it all but to repeat experiments because I just thought of something else can be very costly and time consuming if the testing has to be carried out again. From experience, all the data will eventually contribute to the projects cause so don’t skimp!
Depending on the nature of the project, we will normally advise on data analysis & collation to suit. In the case of engine testing, there may be significant data required for the measurement of vibration and emissions as well as power and torque. In the case of chassis development, it may be data from suspension motion and g-forces, all of which are encompassed in this category.
